
Daily Map | Expert deployment under the UCPM
The deployment of experts is an integral part of the UCPM response. This daily map now gives an overview of where experts have been deployed to.
As part of a UCPM mission, experts are regularly deployed to assist the efforts on the ground. Over the last 10 years, 615 experts have been deployed in 167 missions. Offering their assistance in disaster responses, these experts have been deployed on six continents. The majority of experts have been deployed within Europe, with 52 experts deployed to Poland and Türkiye and 44 to Ukraine.
The experts that are deployed come from a range of different backgrounds. Technical experts on a variety of topics, including cultural heritage, logistics, water management or forest fires, make up the largest proportion. Additionally, Technical Assistance and Support Teams, coordination and assessment experts, team leaders and deputy team leaders as well as information managers have been deployed frequently.
The experts that have so far been deployed come from 25 different UCPM member and participating states, with the most experts coming from Sweden, Spain and France. 90, 67 and 61 experts have been deployed from those countries respectively.
Daily maps provide an overview of a significant event or situation on a daily basis. Monitoring events around the globe 24/7, the ERCC produces informative geospatial maps as part of its response to disasters.
