Today is International Day for Disaster Risk Management. The special DRMKC issue focusing on recent research and activities related to risk information/assessments and early warnings.
Today we celebrate the International Day for Disaster Risk Management. This is an opportunity to acknowledge the progress achieved in raising risk-awareness and reducing human and infrastructure losses in case of natural hazards, but also to strategise how we can build more disaster-resilient societies. To this end, the Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre is providing science-based advice for DRM policies, translating complex data into more accessible information.
