On 20-22 June 2023, the FORMATEX23 consortium gathered in Linz to finalize the planning of the Full Scale Exercise taking place on 14th-16th September. The participants had the opportunity to meet together with Austrian national and local authorities to plan the execution of the exercise, from the activation of the mechanism, to the arrival of the international teams and the scenarios response.
During three days of constructive interactions, the FORMATEX23 Final Planning Conference participants finalized the missing details that will allow the coordination of a successful exercise in Linz. The involvement of all different organizations that play a role in the Final Exercise was crucial to the success of this last planning phase. International modules, local authorities, media organizations and exercise site managers had the chance to clear any final question and therefore pave the way for a successful exercise.
With the Danube river being the main charter of the the FORMATEX23 Exercise, the Final Planning Conference (FPC) participants had the opportunity to cruise on the beautiful river crossing the city of Linz and enjoy an afternoon on the water. The afternoon offered a perfect platform to network amongst exercise participants. The FORMATEX23 FPC successfully concluded the planning phase of this UCPM Project.
The consortium team expresses great appreciation for the hard work done by the participants overt the last 18 months and looks forward to the final exercise in September!
