In the Norwegian Coastal Administration’s test facilities in Horten, hundreds of hours of oil spill response equipment testing have taken place over the past year and a half as part of the IMAROS 2 project.
We have worked in close collaboration with oil spill response equipment manufacturers - DESMI, Vikoma, Lamor, Koseq and New Naval have all taken part in the testing.
Through this close cooperation, we’ve come a long way toward finding solutions that will make us better prepared in the event of a spill involving this type of oil.
