Join the children's painting competition: I saw the disaster with my eyes

DG Fire Safety and Civil Protection – Ministry of Interior, Bulgaria, warmly invites young artists from around the world to participate in the International Children's Painting Competition entitled "I saw the disaster with my eyes".

Competition Details:

  • Deadline for submission: 31 May 2025
  • Participants: Children aged 7 to 18 years
  • Theme: Disaster risks, appropriate responses, pre-medical first aid, and the role of specialised fire and rescue teams

Objectives of the competition:

  • Raise awareness among youth about disaster preparedness and response
  • Inspire children to understand and appreciate the crucial role of firefighters and rescue teams
  • Foster artistic expression related to disaster risk reduction and safety awareness

Painting specifications:

  • Size: 35x50 cm
  • Technique: At participant's choice
  • Each painting must include a brief English description/message attached on the back, along with the participant's personal details (name, age, address, contact information, school, and mentor’s name)

Participants are encouraged to creatively and thoughtfully express their insights and emotions about these crucial topics through their artwork.

Selected winners will receive certificates signed by the Director of DG Fire Safety and Civil Protection, alongside receiving small gifts.
