Medical emergency at massgathering events

The next webinar of KnowEMS consortium, to be held on August 8th, will be about pre-hospital medical emergencies at events with a high concentration of people. Once again, a group of international experts from various organizations will gather and present different testimonies in an event that promises to be very enriching.

Multi-hazard

At 17h00 CEST, on August 8, members of the National Institute for Medical Emergencies (INEM) from Portugal, Madrid's SAMUR, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Societé Française de Médicine de Catastrophe (SFMC) from France will present various examples of how pre-hospital medical emergencies have been organized and planned at mass gatherings. Ivo Cardoso, from INEM, will talk about the design and implementation of the pre-hospital emergency plan at the World Youth Days held in Lisbon in 2023. Daniel Muñoz, from SAMUR in Madrid, will talk about the medical organization of mass-gathering events in Madrid. Cathering Bertrand, from the SFMC, will talk about the level of preparedness of the emergency services for the Paris Olympics. Oleg Storozhenko will look at the role of the WHO in this type of mass gathering event.


The event takes place online and requires prior registration. It is aimed at all those who work in the field of pre-hospital emergency or have a role to play in mass-gathering events.
