The Final International Meeting event was held in Brussels on June 23, 2025, marking the end of the project by disclosing the final findings of the project. The event was designed to reveal:

  • Presentation of key outputs: Dispersion models for pollutants, oil spill detection algorithms, and floating container tracking tools.
  • Showcase of the upgraded Decision Support System (DSS).
  • Insights into risk assessment and mitigation strategies for marine ecosystems.
  • Networking with stakeholders from ports, research institutions, and environmental agencies.

The 3-hour event was graced by the project consortium members, a representative from DG-ECHO, and invited relevant stakeholders such as Port of Antwerp Bruges, and Cedre, that attend in person, while online attendees were; EMSA, Protezione civile Italy, and Corpo Capitanerie Italy. The event gave participants the opportunity to:

  • Discover PROMPT’s cutting-edge tools, including dispersion models, oil spill detection algorithms, and floating container tracking systems.
  • Learn how these innovations can support port safety, environmental protection, and climate resilience.
  • Engage with experts, policymakers, and stakeholders during discussions and networking sessions.
  • Explore opportunities for future collaboration to scale up PROMPT’s solutions.
