SIVAC Interagency Exercise on March 24, 2026

By project I-SIVAC staffPublished on

On 24 March 2026, the SADJAV organised an interministerial exercise focused on crisis management, involving in particular the SIVAC tool, the current development of which is co-funded by the European Commission, which was represented at the event. This event forms part of an ongoing effort to strengthen response capabilities and coordination between French government departments.

A day in two parts

The morning was devoted to the operational exercise phase, during which participants were able to put the common procedures and tools into practice. The afternoon continued with a debriefing session to analyse the strengths and areas for improvement.

Initial feedback was very positive, both regarding the quality of coordination and the relevance of the tools used, particularly the SIVAC application, which was central to the exercise.

An app at the heart of crisis management

The SIVAC application has now established itself as an indispensable tool for crisis management, ensuring that operations are monitored and coordinated by the various stakeholders and that victims are kept under observation.

Work is currently underway to link the system to a new application, SIGNAL, which will complement the existing interconnections with SINUS and SI-VIC, in order to cover the entire chain of victim care, from the scene to the follow-up and provision of information to their relatives.
