The project developed an information communication tool - Environmental Decision Support System (EDSS) to enhance prevention and preparedness of marine pollution for timely responding to spills of oil and NHS substances at the mediterranean sea caused by maritime transport accidents. The platform encompasses four (4) ports within the mediterranean sea, the three (3) ports (Aqaba, Tripoli, and Spesia) were already established under the framework of DG-ECHO BE-READY Project, while Genova Port and remote sensing satellite detection algorithm for floating containers were integrated under the PROMPT project. Finally, the project partners conducted local training in Tripoli, Lebanon and Aqaba, Jordan on the use and functionality of the tool Environment Decision Support System (EDSS) for personnel users and with relevant stakeholders
