Survey: Youth Engagement in DRR in Europe and Central Asia (DDL 04/02/2024)

The study conducted by UNDRR aims to explore the level of engagement of children and youth in DRR processes and mechanisms

The study “Youth Engagement in DRR in Europe and Central Asia” conducted by the United Nations Office for Europe and Central Asia aims to explore the level of engagement of children and youth in DRR processes and mechanisms at local, national and regional level in Europe and Central Asia as well as to map progress, approach, practices, successes and challenges pertaining to the effort to promote leadership and inclusion of children and youth.

The study will list relevant mechanism for children and youth engagement at different levels and show to what extend the region engages them. The findings of the study will be shared on the UNDRR owned webpages and shared among DRR stakeholders in the region. The study also aims to inform and be used as a basis for youth engagement discussions of the European and Central Asia Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction on 06-08 November 2024. Member States inputs will be only publicly shared as collective data while good practices may be highlighted.
