Update: 2024 Calls project selection process & upcoming Call for Proposals
Update on latest developments on disaster resilience grants - KAPP and Track 1 (Technical Assistance for Disaster Risk Management).
The Grant Agreement Preparation (GAP) of the 2024 disaster resilience grants (namely, the Technical Assistance for Disaster Risk Management -Track 1- and the Knowledge for Action in Prevention and Preparedness -KAPP) is ongoing.
Update on the process
Proposals with a positive evaluation were invited for grant preparation. GAP is the procedure through which grant agreements for proposals selected for funding are prepared and signed by the Commission and the beneficiaries. This phase includes legal entity validation, financial capacity assessment, etc. and does not constitute a formal commitment for funding. The 2024 GAP process began in August and will be completed by December 2024.
Once all grant agreements are signed by both parties, DG ECHO will inform the applicants with proposals in the reserve list about the outcome of the process. Proposals not promoted to the main list will be formally rejected.
Next steps
The list of the funded projects will be published in the Funding and Tender portal (Home > Funding > Calls for proposals > typing e.g. "KAPP" in the search engine). We will also publish details of the process's conclusion on the in the UCPKN Platform, providing details on the funded projects.
In addition, the 2025 disaster resilience grants, and Technical Assistance Financing Facility (TAFF) will be published in January.
We invite you to stay tuned and to consult the Knowledge Network platform in the coming weeks for further updates on our funding instruments.
