XX Conference of the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing

The XX Conference of the Spanish Association of Remote Sensing was held in Cadiz from 4 to 7 June 2024. The event was organized by the Earth Observation Group of the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (ICMAN-CSIC) and the Departments of Earth Sciences and Applied Physics of the University of Cadiz. The theme of the conference was "Remote Sensing and Global Change: Challenges and Opportunities for Blue Growth". There was a large number of attendees, many of them specialists in forest fire risks. In addition, among the topics presented, there was a section on emergencies and data in which the VERA project had a place.

For the presentation, a poster on the project was designed with the main objectives and progress, which was exhibited during one of the days of the congress. The project generated great interest to the audience due to its relevance in cross-border analysis together with the proposal of global data reuse. Also of great interest was the collection of vulnerable elements, a dynamic aspect of great importance in risk analysis.
