Welcome to Producers Involvement Conference in April
The IMAROS 2 project welcomes equipment manufacturers a conference in Malmø in April, to learn more about the project and the challenges on LSFO.
IMAROS 2 is focused on two main challenges. Improve understanding of oil spill behaviour of LSFOs, and consequently decision making on all levels of response operation, and improve capacities of mechanical recovery and shoreline response.
This is what you can expect at the conference:
1. Presentation of the IMAROS 2 and challenges experienced with in the IMAROS 1 project
2. Invitation to participate in practical tests in the project, basic prerequisites for participation, test concept and work process practical test
3. Open discussion of challenges on recovery of LSFO and possible development for mechanical recovery
Equipment manufacturers are invited to participate in recovery trails under controlled conditions in test facilities in Norway and Finland, to identify promising approaches to recover oils with adverse properties. Selected equipment manufacturers will have opportunity to test equipment free of charge in test facility in Norway and Finland and access to three different LSFO.
