The EU-funded projects COLLARIS2, DIREKTION, OVERWATCH and UNICORN hosted a joint online workshop on the implementation of new technologies in crisis management and civil protection on November 21. The session provided a unique opportunity to engage with a network of EU projects at the forefront of innovation in emergency management. Participants gained insights into emerging technologies such as AI, drones, and satellite-tools that are transforming real-time situational awareness and disaster response. These solutions are being developed to better address the increasingly complex disaster scenarios facing Europe in the future.

About the Emergency Management Initiative
The four hosting projects have created the "Emergency Management Initiative" to strengthen Europe’s capacity to face climate-driven hazards and disasters. By combining Earth Observation, aerial systems, and advanced crisis data platforms, the cluster delivers innovative tools for early warning, real-time monitoring, and coordinated response.
Thank you to all speakers and participants for contributing to this session, and to the Horizon Results Booster and CMINE for supporting us with organizing and promoting it!
