The workshop held in Larnaca, Cyprus, on the 29th of January 2026, focused on advancing the update of the National Tsunami Inundation Map using seismic-origin scenarios developed through Stochastic Probabilistic Tsunami Hazard Analysis (S-PTHA). Participants revisited the NEAM‑COMMITMENT methodology to ensure consistency with regional standards and best practices.
The preliminary modelling results were also reviewed and discussed, identifying where refinements are needed to improve design parameters, scenario selection, and overall robustness. This collaborative review strengthens operational readiness, ensuring the updated inundation products better inform emergency planning, early warning, and community preparedness.
