The BRGM's scientific research aims to provide geological knowledge and understanding of soil and subsoil phenomena. With one challenge: to meet the challenges of global change.
Scientific research is one of the BRGM's missions. Its objective is geological knowledge and understanding of soil and subsoil processes through observation and modelling. It mobilizes more than 700 BRGM engineers and researchers, i.e. two-thirds of the workforce.
