Centro Internazionale in Monitoraggio Ambientale - Fondazione CIMA
The collaboration between the CIMA Foundation and the Department of Civil Protection range from the creation of tools for the prediction and monitoring of extreme events, to operational support in the use of these tools through the Situation Room active 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, from the support for what concerns the aspects of criminal liability related to extreme events up to the part also of disclosure, raising awareness and teaching of good practices through the participation of citizens in civil protection activities. Finally, Fondazione CIMA, at the request of the Department of Civil Protection and under its coordination, participates in international missions to assess the needs and risks of different countries and in the preparation and execution of cooperation programs on civil protection activities.
