Description
The Centre for Forest Science and Technology of Catalonia (CTFC) is a research centre attached to the Generalitat de Catalunya, and is related to it through the Department responsible for forests.
The CTFC is a CERCA center and is accredited as a TECNIO agent, both recognitions of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
At the international level, the CTFC is a member of: European Forest Institute (EFI), European Mycological Institute (EMI), Association Internationale Forêts Méditeranéennes (AIFM), Association de échanges Méditerranéennes pour l'eau, la forêt, l'énergie, et le développement durable des territoires (Échanges Med), Centre d'Etude et de Développement Durable Euroméditerranéen (CEDDEM), and founding member of FORESPIR.
At the national level, he is a member of the Spanish Society of Forestry Sciences (SECF), a member of PEFC and the Spanish Forest Technology Platform.
The CTFC is the EfesC National Agency, in charge of accrediting training and examination centers that teach courses in the forestry field.
It has been awarded the mention of Human Resources Excellence in Research of the European Commission, which recognizes it as a European research institution that promotes a favorable and motivating work environment.
