Description
SPEK is an expert organisation in preparedness, accident prevention and rescue. We conduct research and safety communications, offer training opportunities and participate in public debate. Our operations are funded by the Fire Protection Fund, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health with the proceeds of Veikkaus and Study Centre Sivis, among others.
SPEK's goal is a safe and crisis-resistant society, where the capacity to manage disruptions is based on cooperation between the public sector, civil society and business life. We act as an interface with our members and participate in the social debate in the field.
Housing safety
An important part of SPEK's operations is the development of housing and everyday safety. Our aim is to reduce the number of accidents and limit the impact of incidents.
