The Fire Brigade is a separate Security Corps, which is commanded by its Chief and constitutes an operational structure under the General Secretariat for Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, with competence that extends throughout the Territory except for areas for which special provisions provide for the competence of other services.
The Fire Brigade, within the framework of its mission, participates in dealing with any emergency that arises in time of peace or war, and in cooperation with the co-competent authorities and services, contributes to ensuring the civil protection and civil defence of the country.
