The state of North Rhine-Westphalia and its highest authorities
The state government in North Rhine-Westphalia comprises a total of eleven ministries. Together with the State Chancellery as the authority of the Prime Minister and the State Court of Auditors, they are the highest state authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia. This also indirectly includes the representations of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to the federal government in Berlin and to the European Union in Brussels. Both are offices of the State Chancellery to the Minister for Federal Affairs, Europe, International Affairs and the Media and the Head of the State Chancellery.
