The Border Guard operates on land, at sea and in the air.
Border control
Border control maintains border order and border security with the aim of preventing and investigating unauthorised border crossings. In particular, surveillance will be carried out at the external border of the Schengen area in order to prevent its unauthorised crossing in the area between border crossing points.
