Our missions

• Prevent medico-psycho-social crises and contribute to resolving them through education, training and our presence in the field.

• In respect of the founding values, fulfill structural missions mandated by the public authorities.

The social object and the missions of the Belgian Red Cross

• Act in case of armed conflicts, and to prepare for it in peacetime, in all areas provided for by the Geneva Conventions in favor of all victims of war, whether civilian or military.
• Contribute to the improvement of health, the prevention of illnesses, the alleviation of suffering through programs of training and involvement in the service of the population.
• Participate in the organization of emergency services in favor of victims of disasters of any nature, whether international or national.
• Recruit, instruct and assign the personnel necessary to carry out the tasks assigned to him.
• Promoting the participation of all, and particularly young people, in activities of the Red Cross.
• Propagate the fundamental principles of the Movement and international humanitarian law in order to develop, within the population, the ideals of peace, respect and mutual understanding between all men and all peoples.
