About us
The Civil Protection Section is the structure of the Presidency of the Council of the Puglia Region responsible for the management, on a regional scale, of the activities put in place to protect the integrity of life, goods, settlements, animals and the environment from damage or the danger of damage resulting from disasters: forecasting, prevention and mitigation of risks, management of emergencies and their overcoming.
The Regional Civil Protection System, as identified by Regional Law 7/2014 (under revision), is composed, in addition to the Civil Protection section, also by the Provinces and Municipalities, each of which has specific tasks, functions and responsibilities in the territory.
The regional civil protection structure is a component of the national system and, at regional level, carries out coordination, guidance and promotion activities.
