Skien Fire and Rescue

Overview

Description

Skien Red Cross Relief Corps constitutes a unique reserve force for the Skien Fire Department. This is an old scheme that works very well according to Liebe and the crews provide a safe and, above all, a willing to work contingency plan. This reserve force consists of a total of 30 people and they were alarmed 31 times in 2004. The auxiliary corps is obliged to have at least five suitable persons on standby at all times who bring personal protective equipment when arriving at the scene of the accident. The auxiliary corps can also provide divers for emergency rescue missions, searches and the like.
