Description

The goal of the project is to improve the existing competencies of the operational forces of civil protection and cross-sectoral cooperation with employees of the Ministry of Culture and Media (MoCM) in the domain of cultural heritage protection in emergency situations.

The project plans to organise modules (lectures/workshops/exercises) for 30 participants of the operational forces of civil protection and 10 participants from Ministry of Culture and Media. Modules will contain a theoretical and a practical part that will be presented by both the civil protection and culture sectors in order for all participants to become familiar with the opportunities and challenges that await them in the field during an emergency situation. Besides the national lectures, foreign lecturers will be called to present their good practices/lessons learned on this subject.

Research into the best practices of cross-sector activities on the ground in emergency situations is planned through study tours in the EU.

The project will also draft Guidelines for Standard Operating Procedures (Ministry of Interior – Civil Protection Department and Ministry of Culture and Media). Further, a Plan of Capacity Building Activities and Interdepartmental Cooperation 2025-2027 will be drawn up as an overview of the necessary activities (training/education) to strengthen the capacity of both the civil protection and culture sectors. Special attention will also be devoted to raising awareness of the protection of cultural heritage.
