Enhancing public warning and crisis communication

Description

The project will create a conceptual design for the modernisation of Croatia's public alert and warning system using sirens, with a view to prepare a larger project for financing under the Cohesion Policy funds. The present project consists of two elements: 1) strengthening the capacity of the 112 centres' operators by improving  competences, and reviewing old and developing new plans and standard operating procedures; 2) ensuring a facilitated access to financing investments in the disaster risk management through the development of a conceptual design for modernisation of the public alert and warning system using sirens. The Conceptual Design will cover the technical specifications for the upgrade and digitalisation of existing sirens and choosing locations for installation of new electronic sirens.
