Description
Stakeholders Networking for Multi-risk and Climate Resilient Strategic Framework in Disaster Management (SK) - Track I
The project tackles the general need for improved emergency preparedness, prevention and response. It looks to increase institutional and technical capacity for disaster prevention and preparedness, communication and data-sharing between stakeholders, legal and policy papers, technologies and planning, as well as expertise.
In order to overcome these obstacles in disaster management, the project aims to strengthen, modernise and adopt a risk assessment plan to update policies, strategies and investment needs. It will tailor its risk assessment plan and methodology to the needs of emergency preparedness, prevention and response.
Other goals of the project include building a foundation for multi-stakeholder involvement in disaster management, and creating standard criteria for risk assessments on a regional level. Developing and applying disaster-resilient management guidelines to improve the ability of stakeholders to monitor, anticipate and learn from crises will also contribute to its goals.
To implement the project, work organised in the form of four working groups: Technologies for reducing the risks associated with climate change, technological threats, biological threats; Risk analysis – Revision and improvement of risk assessment methodology; DRR management and communication at all levels – Analysis and recommendations; and the Legislative Working Group.
