Description
The project will strengthen the wildfire prevention and response capacity of the General Directorate of Forestry and other relevant agencies, including the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), by developing specific local solutions through a bottom-up approach, starting with forest villages. The results can be scaled up to the national and international levels and to cover other disasters in the future. The project expects to contribute to emission reductions essential for a green transition and to benefit from the indigenous knowledge of the villages, combining it with scientific/technical advances to develop specific good practices to enhance disaster resilience.
