A key first aid training session for emergency situations, part of the "Floods in Northern Albania" project funded by the European Union and DG ECHO, was successfully held on February 19 in the city of Shkodër.
The training, organized by the Center for Development and Democratization of Institutions (CDDI) as a project partner and in collaboration with the National Emergency Medical Center, gathered representatives from the Rapid Intervention Forces (FNSh), local authorities from Shkodër, Vau i Dejës, and Malësi e Madhe, local civil emergency structures, and volunteers engaged in managing emergency situations from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.
The training was conducted by experts from the National Emergency Medical Center, who carried out simulations of real emergency situations, as well as practical exercises for all participants.
This training is an important step in strengthening civil emergency structures and increasing volunteer engagement in disaster management. Participants will also take part in the final exercise, which will take place in April, further enhancing their skills and rapid response in emergency situations!
