The European Parliament has announced the creation of the “Resilience, Disaster Management and Civil Protection” intergroup, according to the International Fire and Safety Journal (IFSJ). This initiative, led by Members of the European Parliament Grégory Allione, Pascal Arimont, Christophe Clergeau, and Matej Tonin, focuses on enhancing civil protection and resilience throughout the EU.

According to Zeit, starting on 24 October 2024, nearly 950 participants from various countries will gather in Northern Baden, Germany to take part in the large-scale international exercise 'Magnitude', which is organised under the UCPM.
