Description
The aim of the CPX is based on the overall aim of Arctic REIHN but is formed to fit the training audience. The aim is to exercise the Norwegian Crisis Committee’s ability to make decisions under time pressure, and with limited information available. Also, to test collaboration and communication between the Crisis Committee and other relevant parts of the national nuclear preparedness and response organization. Finally, to test the Crisis Committee’s emergency preparedness plans and the support function of the Committee’s Secretariat. Based on the aim of the CPX, a list of ten more detailed objectives have been developed.
The primary training audience of the CPX will be relevant Norwegian national and regional authorities, especially focusing on the Norwegian Crisis Committee for Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Preparedness and Response, relevant ministries, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) North Norway, and the County Governor of Nordland.
