Description
The FSX week will consist of two exercise days.
FSX-1 will be conducted on Wednesday May 10th and focus on the nuclear-powered vessel in distress on the coastline outside Bodø and the implications happening on-land.
The scenario will be in line with the overall scenario for Arctic REIHN. A reactor-propelled vessel is sailing southbound along the coast of Northern Norway with crew and passengers when an explosion occurs on-board following a fire and the reactor safety zone is in danger of being compromised.
FSX-1 is the first part of the field exercises and creates the scenario background for FSX-2. FSX-2 will be conducted on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th and focus on the measuring activities in a larger geographic area.
FSX-3 will be conducted on the night of Wednesday 10th, as well as Thursday 11th and will focus on the evacuation and handling of evacuees from the island community of Sørvær, due to predicted fallout.
