ARTION online training on 14 June, don’t miss it!
The online event ‘ARTION Training: Practical Utilisation of AI tools in Emergency Management’ takes place on 14 June from 10:00 - 15:00 CEST.
The EU-funded ARTION project’s online training session ‘Practical utilisation of AI Tools in Emergency Management’ is on 14 June at 10:00 - 15:00 CEST. The event aims to develop the skills of first responders by demonstrating AI technologies, explaining data collection and analysis procedures and setting expectations on what can be achieved with AI tools. Registration is open.
Recent technological advances make it possible to collect huge amounts of disaster-related data, invaluable for situational awareness and helping decision-making both before and after a disaster happens. But such a large amount of data can become difficult to make sense of, especially in time-critical situations. Intelligent systems can help.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) can analyse large volumes of diverse and complex data in critical and fast-moving situations, providing information that emergency managers and first responders can quickly process and use.
The event will be held online, with two parts:
The training session will cover: motivation behind the employment of AI in disaster management (practical highlights), an introduction to AI in this scientific field, a selection of topics on AI for disaster management and a detailed approach on testing and evaluating AI technologies for disaster management.
