The training is offered as part of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism training programme in the framework of the joint ECHO-UN courses, in collaboration with the Logistics Cluster.

In line with the current needs in international civil protection and humanitarian aid deployments, national civil protection authorities are invited to nominate through their National Training Coordinators up to two experts per country.

The course will be hosted in the training centre of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). Selected participants will be contacted by THW for their travel arrangements. The training course will be held in English without translation.

Logistics Officers/Coordinators, Information Management Officers or Humanitarian Responders with sufficient knowledge of Emergency Logistics Concepts. The aim of the Logistics Response Team Training is not to qualify participants to become Logistics Officers, but rather to develop skills in inter-agency emergency logistics management (building on existing capabilities).
