On 21 April 2026, Prep2Shelter was presented at the 3rd National Conference on Public Policies for Civil Protection, organised by CEIPC in Lisbon. The event brought together civil protection experts and stakeholders to discuss challenges and solutions for improving disaster preparedness.
The Prep2Shelter project was presented at the 3rd National Conference on Public Policies for Civil Protection, held on 21 April 2026 at the auditorium of the EDP building in Lisbon, Portugal.
Organised by CEIPC – Centre for Studies and Intervention in Civil Protection, the conference provided a valuable platform for sharing knowledge and discussing current challenges in civil protection, emergency management, and disaster preparedness.
Representing LNEC, António Correia presented the Prep2Shelter project, introducing its objectives and highlighting the importance of improving emergency shelter planning through scientific knowledge, operational expertise, and collaboration among stakeholders.
The event offered an important opportunity to engage with civil protection professionals and discuss the role of evidence-based approaches in supporting more resilient communities and better preparedness strategies.
