
Technical Visit to Global Karma OIZ by the RESMAR Project Team
Technical field activities within the scope of the "Making Industrial Organizations Resilient to Disasters with a Business Continuity Management Approach (RESMAR)" Project, co-financed by the European Union and AFAD, continue with a visit to the Global Karma Organized Industrial Zone.
The meeting, which began with opening remarks by Mehmet Emin Koçan, Kocaeli Provincial Director of AFAD, Mehmet Fatih Şen, Head of Technological Disaster Risks Reduction Working Group and Cihan Odabaşı, Regional Manager of Global Karma OIZ, addressed disaster risk management and the enhancement of business continuity capacity in industrial zones. During the presentation delivered by Business Continuity Expert Şükrü Yasin Güven, technical information regarding the preparation processes of Business Continuity Analysis documents and planning methodologies in line with international standards was shared with the participants.
In the workshop and field tour organized in the second part of the visit, project experts Şükrü Yasin Güven, Emin Yahya Menteşe, and Kadir Tomas examined the technical details and field applications for ensuring operational continuity. Within the framework of the RESMAR Project, field studies will continue across the region to ensure that industrial organizations are prepared for disasters and that business continuity systems are made sustainable.
