Description

This project seeks to identify significant risks with cross-border humanitarian impacts and support the development of an evidence-based preparedness approach and better coordination through national and international simulation and coordination exercises that include diverse participants. These exercises are designed to uncover coordination gaps and present opportunities for enhancing strategic plans and cooperation. The project will facilitate joint learning opportunities across nations, enhancing individual capabilities and fostering knowledge exchange.

Additionally, it proposes adapting the 'X-STOCK' concept, previously piloted in the Balkans with support from DG ECHO, to facilitate the increase of relief assistance capacities and the sharing of such capacities among closely linked disaster risk management actors, using the Red Cross as an intermediary. This approach aims to build a more resilient, integrated emergency management framework across the Baltic region.
