Field exercises for water-related, forest firefighting and CBRN "Cycle 12"

These exercises allow modules/teams to test their capabilities in an international setting, focusing on effective coordination, achieving interoperability, maintaining self-sufficiency, exchanging information about standard operating procedures and equipment, managing command structures, and establishing robust communication and reporting systems.

Description

EU MODEX "LOT 2" is designed for a diverse range of modules: 

  • Exercises 1, 3, and 6 will involve High Capacity Pumping Modules (HCP), Water Purification teams (WP), Flood Rescue Boats (FRB), Flood Containment units (FC), and other relevant capacities.
  • Exercises 2 and 5 will involve ground forest firefighting and aerial forest firefighting capacities.
  • Exercise 4 is specifically designed for CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) capacities.

Additionally, a range of other response capacities such as drone operators, fire analysis teams, and temporary shelter might also participate. 

The EU Civil Protection Team (EUCPT) and Technical Assistance and Support Team (TAST) will be exercised in the LOT2 EU MODEX exercises.

  6. Field exercise: 16-19.06.2026 - Republic of Moldova, floods scenario
