Description
The project aims to transfer of knowledge about the nature, the manifestations, the consequences of strong ground motions and the recommendations about how to act during and after strong earthquakes from competent scientific institutions to each citizen. Through up-to-date communication methods, the scientific knowledge, adapted to a language that can be understood by everyone, will be transferred to as wider as possible population in the cross-border areas of the Western Balkans region.
Three main processes will be needed to achieve these objectives:
(1) systematic analysis of the existing state of seismic risk awareness;
(2) enhancement of cross-border risk awareness;
(3) and assessment on whether and how much the risk awareness has been improved.
