Description

The project aims to improve understanding of wildfire risk factors and vulnerabilities in the Czech Republic, and strengthen the collaboration and coordination among stakeholders involved in wildfire management.

The project will analyse existing early detection technologies and systems for wildfires available for a potential establishment of a wildfire early detection system in the Czech Republic, while assessing the technical, operational, financial and environmental feasibility. It will consult the forest management and environment protection sectors to gather inputs and feedback on potential solutions.

The project will carry out a pilot study by a deployment of early detection technologies and strategies to a GIS model.

Other outputs will include dissemination of findings, best practices and lessons learnt through workshops, conferences and articles in professional magazines.
