Description
The objective of the CRISPRO project is to introduce innovative approaches to multi-sectoral knowledge sharing and ensure responders are prepared to efficiently react to a wide range of emergency situations.
It will enable international collaboration and strengthen the effectiveness of disaster response teams. Data, competencies and best practices concerning the preparedness and mitigation of combined emergencies, and their associated challenges, are at the centre of the project. A universal tool for benchmarking practical experiences and providing efficient guides for risk assessments will be used to prepare response teams for their missions, minimising the damage of combined emergencies and hazards.
CRIPRO gathers public and private actors from Slovakia, France, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Finland and lays the foundations of a functional framework for planning responses to combined hazards of societal, health, humanitarian and behavioural models.
It will act as an open framework to rapidly assess the risks of disasters and promote the exchange of knowledge and capacity-building. By integrating a holistic approach with the complexity of multiple challenges, CRISPRO establishes a multi-sector framework for facing the most significant risks of all time: the climate emergency, the safety and security of societies, and the disaster resilience of communities.
