Description

The next workshop on Copernicus for Forestry will take place on 12 March 2024 in Brussels, and main focus will be to analyzed the context of the EU forest policy, covering some of the main objectives such are identifying some stakeholders needs and challenges, future EO development, latest updates particularly the EUDR and EU Forest monitoring and current capacities and stories of EO and Copernicus in the forest domain.

The sessions will mainly cover EU Forest Strategy and Forest Monitoring regulation, key speakers will set the scene before opening on a panel discussion about how to maximize use of Copernicus data for the benefit of public and private users in the forest sector. The panels will also identify currently outstanding needs and requirements, which can inform the future development of Copernicus.
